Tony Bruce Jr. won the Cowtown Speedway Sprint Nationals Night #1. Due to inclement weather they adjusted the dates to Saturday and Sunday. With 70 cars in the pits, Tony started the Heat outside row two and took the win. After the redraw, Tony would line up outside row two again. On lap 19 Tony took the lead, lapping up to eighth place and took the win. Sunday night was cancelled due to rain after the A main hot laps. Tony was set to start inside row two.


Tony Bruce Jr. won at Speedzone Raceway's IRA Race in Oshkosh, WI. Tony also had two good nights with the Outlaws. At the Clay County Fairgrounds Spencer, IA. Tony qualified 15th, won the Heat and the Dash, finishing 8th in the Main. In Deer Creek Speedway Spring Valley, MN, Tony qualified 23rd, ran 8th in the Heat, 6th in the B-Main, and was tied for passing the most cars finishing 12th in the A-Main. Jesse Hockett won at Double X Speedway in California, Missouri to make this his 21st trip to Victory Lane this year.


Tony Bruce Jr. and Jesse Hockett battled it out for the Nebraska Cup Championships Saturday night at Eagle Raceway ASCS race. With 50 cars and 5,000 on the line, they threw slide jobs on each other for six or seven laps until Tony pulled away for the last five to take the win, with Jesse finishing 2nd. This is the first time in Tony Bruce Jr.'s career that he swept the heat, dash and A. On Sunday Tony was at the Butler County Motorplex ASCS race starting 15th to finish 5th. On Friday Jesse was at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri for some Winged Outlaw Warriors. Jesse came from the third row to finish 2nd.


Tony Bruce Jr. runs 2nd at the Lake Ozark Speedway 360 Nationals in Eldon, Mo. Tony lined up 8th in the heat and finished 3rd making all of his passes in the first two laps. Starting 15th in the Main, Tony worked his way through the field finishing 2nd, after challenging for the lead several times. Congratulations to car owner John Taylor, Bullet Racing, and Driver Colby Wiesz for winning their second consecutive championship together and John Taylor's 4th consecutive at Placerville Speedway. Congratulations to CJ Humphreys for finishing 2nd in the Championship points at Placerville Speedway. CJ had three trips to Victory Lane this year in the 13 race series.


Justyn Cox gets his 1st win with the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region at Casper Speedway. Justyn ran 3rd in the heat. In the main, Justyn started 10th, passing cars to take the lead with a handful of laps left. At the checkered Justyn was about a straight away ahead. Justyn is 15 years old and in his rookie season in a sprint car. Justyn is also 7th in points / top rookie in the ASCSNW. Justyn drives the 5H ASCS 360 Sprinter owned by Harley Van Dyke and tuned by Rod Tiner Jr. with support from STL, College Cyclery, LRB Manufacturing, Justice Bros., Hansen Machine.


Jesse Hockett wins $15,000 at the 8th Annual Casey's Ultimate Challenge presented by Searsboro Telephone Company and puts his name on the list of previous champions in the prestigous event held at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, IA. Hockett night was complete with a sweap of the heat, qualifier and main. Hockett nosed out defending race winner Dave Darland by .045 with the crowd on its feet. Tony Bruce finished 10th at the ASCS Knoxville 360 Nationals onboard his Rider-powered No. 18 Maxim. Pick up August Flat Out Magazine with a nice article on Tony.


Tony Bruce runs 4th at the ASCS Knoxville Nationals Prelim. Tony timed in 2nd quick and finished 4th in the second heat. Jesse Hockett wins night #3 of ASCS NW Speedweek at Willamette Speedway. In the Heat, Jesse drove from 6th to finish 2nd. For the third night in a row Jesse was the High Points. From the Pole, Jesse avoided lappers to take the Win.

Jesse Hockett wins night #2 of ASCS NW Speedweek at Cottage Grove Speedway. Jesse came from 5th in the Heat and 6th in the Main to complete the sweep of the night. For the second night Jesse was the High Points.

Jesse Hockett wins night #1 of ASCS NW Speedweek at Southern Oregon Speedway. Jesse came from 8th in the Heat and Main to complete the sweep of the night. How about the youngster Justyn Cox driving himself to finish 10th in his first Speedweek also at Southern Oregon Speedway.


Justyn Cox runs 3rd at Southern Oregon Speedway. Justyn, a rookie with only 12 starts under his belt ran 2nd in the Heat, 5th in the Dash and 3rd in the Main. Justyn is driving the 5h Winged ASCS 360 owned and tuned by Harley VanDyke and Crew Lil' Rod Tiner. Justyn's sponsors include Sacramento Theatrical Lighting, College Cyclery, LRB Manufacturing, and Hansen Machine. Justyn is currently the High Point Rookie in the ASCS NW.


July 3-5. Tony Bruce Jr. and Jesse Hockett were both on hand for the ASCS National Race at Riverside Speedway. On Friday Jesse ran 3rd with Tony finishing 4th. On Saturday Tony ran 2nd and Jesse finished 5th. On Sunday Jesse was at Double X Speedway where he picked up his 15th win of the year. CJ Humphreys lead all 25 laps to take his 3rd win of the year at Placerville Speedway. Willie Croft finished 3rd at Petaluma Speedway's Civil War Race.


June 19-21. Jesse Hockett picked up 2 more wins. Friday's weather would have Jesse changing directions from Kalamazoo Speedway to US36 Raceway. With a borrowed wing from Mark Burch, Hockett sealed the race with a pass on lap 12 for the win. Sunday, Jesse was at Double X Speedway where he took the win for the second straight week. Tony Bruce Jr. was back with the Outlaws in South Dakota running strong in the main all 3 nights. Sunday was his best night at Nodak Speedway were he qualified 8th, ran 3rd in the Heat, ran 3rd in the Dash, and Finished 6th in the Main.


June 12-14. Jesse Hockett picked up wins 10 and 11 this season, Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway, and Sunday at Double X Speedway. At Midway Speedway Friday, The Rocket came close with a 2nd. Tony Bruce Jr. had two good nights with the Outlaws at Dodge City Raceway Park. Friday between hot laps and qualifying he made a motor change in 8½ minutes, making it out first car to qualify. On Saturday, The Gangsta ran 2nd in the Heat, 6th in the Dash, and 6th in the Main. Scott Kinney ran 2nd for the third time this year at Placerville Speedway on Saturday.


June 5-7. Tony Bruce, Jr. started the ASCS Speedweek running 4th in Texarkana at 67 Speedway on Friday night. On Saturday for round two of the ASCS Speedweek at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Tony's sister was on hand to show her promise as one of the best pill drawers in the country. She put him on the front row of the heat and the main. Tony sealed the deal with the win, sweeping both. Jesse Hockett ran 4th on Saturday's USAC race at Mercer Raceway Park. On Sunday, Jesse took the win at Double X Speedway in California, Missouri. CJ Humphreys wins, Scott Kinney ran 2nd and Colby Wiesz ran 4th giving us 3 of the Top 5 cars for the second time at Placerville Speedway on Saturday.


May 29-31. Kyle Larson won the Dash and the Main at Watsonville's GSC race Friday. Kyle is a 16 year old rookie with the GSC driving for Dave Vertullo. Saturday, Kyle finished 5th at the GSC race at Placerville. Colby Wiesz drove a great race to win the Mel Hall Memorial Saturday at Marysville Raceway Park. First year driver Justyn Cox got his first Quick Time, B main win, and went on to finish 9th driving for Harley Van Dyke also at the Mel Hall.

Jesse "The Rocket" Hockett wins both 25 lap features in the annual USAC National Sprint Car Series "Eastern Swing" at Grandview Speedway Tuesday night! Jesse was onboard the Tom Buch owned #13 JEI collecting $6000 for his night's work.


May 23-25. Willie Croft passed 19 cars on his way to finish 2nd at Silver Dollar Speedway's Civil War Race. Colby Wiesz ran the top at Marysville Raceway Park Saturday finishing 2nd in the John Taylor owned #35. Tony Bruce Jr. promoted the two night Steve King Memorial at Jetmore Motorplex-ASCS. It was a huge success and with all the distractions he still ran 8th both nights. Jesse Hockett ran 3rd at the Tony Hulman Classic in Terre Haute on Thursday. On Sunday at the Steve King Memorial, Jesse charged 22 to finish 5th. Sunday Hockett ran 2nd at 81 Speedway near Wichita. Rumor has it Jesse is on the cover of the next Sprint Car and Midget Magazine with a nice interview.May 15-17. Willie Croft completly dominated to take his first win of the year at Placerville Speedway Saturday and dedicated the win in the memory of our friend and fellow racer Christian Stover. Willie took the lead on lap 6 with some incidental contact made completing the pass around the top ( Willie's left rear to the other car's right front ) causing the other car minor front end damage that ended their night. After the trophy presentation, Willie was violently ambushed by that driver and crew (6 on 1). Thanks to those who came to break it up. Willie Croft will be back in action this weekend undeterred by this behavior. Fighting at the track is unacceptable. If you don't win, build a faster car or drive it faster. After all, that's what racing is all about. If fighting is your thing, then go to those Venues on Saturday nights. Also at Placerville, CJ Humphreys ran 4th and Colby Wiesz ran 5th giving us 3 of the top 5 cars for the second week in a row. Tony Bruce Jr. ran 4th at Huset's Speedway Sunday on a rubber down track. Tony Bruce is promoting the on The Steve King Memorial in Jetmore. Racing action begins at 7:00 pm on May 23rd and 24th. For more information www.tonybrucejr.com. Kyle Larson never gave up at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare Saturday night. He was 2nd Quick, won his heat, and hung it in the fence in the dash. The crew put it back together just in time to make it out with no brakes and no time for a set up starting last. In typical Kyle Larson fashion, he passed cars to finish 7th.


May 8-10. Tony Bruce Jr. ran 5th at Remington Park (ASCS) Friday, 3rd at Dodge City (NCRA) Saturday, and took the win at 81 Speedway (NCRA) Sunday. Kyle Larson got his first 410 win at Silver Dollar Friday. CJ Humphreys battled Scott Kinney for the win at Placervile Saturday with Team Bullet's Colby Wiesz finishing 5th. Andy Gregg driving the other Team Bullet car ran 2nd Friday and 6th Saturday at Southern Oregon Speedway (ASCS). Also youngster Justyn Cox gets a mention for finishing 13th both nights in only his 7th start. Justyn earned the Rock Star Award for having every teenie bopper at the track in his pit after the races.

Tony Bruce Jr. runs 2nd in the ASCS Gulf Coast Nationals at 105 Speedway in Cleveland, Texas Saturday night. Tony started in the back of the Heat and drove straight to the front finishing 2nd. In the Main Tony drew a 2 pill so he started front row outside. Bruce Jr. took the lead for the first 7 laps. In traffic with a bobble on the cushion Gary Wright made the pass with Tony finishing 2nd again. Tony Bruce Jr. drives the LRB Manufacturing, Smiley's, MPD Wheels, Bell, #18 Maxim / Rider.

Jesse Hockett Wins the Discount Tire Co. ASCS Canyon Region tribute to Lealand McSpadden


Jesse Hockett wins the Discount Tire Co. ASCS Canyon Region tribute to Lealand McSpadden's remarkable career in Saturday night's 30-lap feature at Manzanita Speedway. Jesse, driving for car owner Jim Massey/Massey Tank Repair, dominated the heat. In the Main, Hockett made his charge from the third row, taking the lead late in the race for the win. Charles Davis Jr. finished 3rd to make it Jim Massey owned cars 1st and 3rd. Kyle Larson runs 6th at Marysville Raceway Park Spring Open


Kyle Larson runs 6th at Marysville Raceway Park Spring Open Saturday Night. The 16 year-old Larson, driving a one nighter for car Owner Harley VanDyke, qualified 7th in the 33 car field. In the heat, Larson started and finished 5th. In the B main, Kyle started 5th which meant 5 of the top 7 qualifiers did not transfer from their heat. Larson transfered finishing 4th. In the Main, Larson started 20th with a lot of work to do. Passing 2 and sometimes 3 wide, Kyle made it to 5th with about 6 laps left. Brake problems would stop his forward movement settling for 6th with the car rolling in the trailer. Kyle Larson drove for Car Owner Harley VanDyke in the LRB Manufacturing, Hansen Machine & Fab, and Rod End Supply for the #5h ART / S&D Race Engines Winged ASCS 360.

Tony Bruce Jr. runs 2nd in the ASCS Gulf South Opener at Golden Triangle Raceway in Beaumont, Texas Friday night. Tony started in the back of the Heat and drove straight to the front for the win. In the Main, Tony drew a 3 pill so he started 2nd row inside. Bruce jr. took a commanding lead but with two laps left Gary Wright made the pass with Tony finishing 2nd. Jesse Hockett Runs Strong at Perris Saturday Night


The night started out tough as Hockett went out second last to qualify of the 45 car field. Jesse managed to qualify 25th. Jesse the checked out in the Heat for the win. In the Main Hockett started 20th, passing car after car until the laps ran out with Jesse sitting in 6th. Tony Bruce Jr. runs strong both nights at the ASCS Rebels Ronald Laney Memorial. Friday, Bruce started inside row three and made it to second on the first lap contending for the lead to finish 2nd. Bruce started outside row three in the main to finish 4th and lock him into the main for Saturday. On Saturday night Bruce started the main outside row three again running a strong 5th. Tony Bruce Jr. drives the Best Well Service, LRB Manufacturing, Smiley's, MPD Wheels, Bell, Penske #18 Maxim / Kistler.
